His political career began at the grassroots level—he was a member of the Panchayat Samiti (1995–2000) and later served in the Zila Parishad (2000–2005).
Within the BJP, he held key roles including Vice President of the district unit (2011–2016) and member of the State Working Committee (2012–2017).
During the Vasundhara Raje government, he was appointed Chairman of the Dang Development Board, focusing on regional development initiatives.
He won the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election from nagar, defeating Wajib Ali of the Indian National Congress by a margin of 1,531 votes.
